Professional journey
2007
Graduated from the University of Victoria's Educational Psychology counselling program and began building a practice grounded in careful, client-centred work.
10 years
Four years at BC Families in Transition and six years at Lifetime Networks Victoria, supporting people affected by family change, disability, isolation, and complex life circumstances.
Ongoing
Continued training in trauma recovery, somatic work, cognitive and narrative approaches, couples therapy, brain injury recovery, and first responder stress injuries.
Dawn served on the BCACC delegates council for three years and is approved to work with eligible claimants through British Columbia's Crime Victim Assistance Program.

How sessions are shaped
Dawn draws from Somatic Experiencing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, client-centred therapy, trauma-informed practice, and Gottman Method couples work. The method supports the relationship and your goals, not the other way around.
You remain the expert on your life. Therapy is planned with you, not imposed on you.
Sessions connect insight with strategies you can use between appointments and beyond therapy.
Difficult material is approached carefully, with attention to regulation, readiness, and choice.
